Recently, we’ve been discussing the incredible contributions made by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. to the United States and the world.

Fifth graders, what particular idea or concept resonates with you, or has caused you to realize something new? What influence has Dr. King had on your thinking? What can we do to continue the work he was unable to finish?

Martin Luther king had a pretty hard life i imagine alot of people wanted him dead and all those marches i imagine hurt his heart.

I think Martin Luther King Jr. is so smart and has an amazing beleaf of life. I don’t even think its hard to think that his heart was so weak and old. He was so powerful with his words it was amazing
